Water your garden well, worry about it less

We fit automatic drip systems, harvest the rain from your roof and keep your fruit trees cropping — right across Tokyo.

By the numbers

What a season of smarter watering looks like

Across the gardens we look after in and around Shibuya, the difference between a hose and a tuned drip system is easy to measure.

  • 38k L

Mains water saved per garden each warm season once rainwater feeds the beds

  • 210gardens

City plots and courtyards now maintained on our seasonal care routes

  • 72% less

Average drop in time spent watering by hand after a drip install

Catch the rain before it reaches the drain

Every roof is already a catchment. We divert the runoff from your downpipes, run it through a two-stage filter and store it in a tank sized to your garden.

A first-flush diverter sends the dirty opening flow to waste, so what reaches the tank is clean enough for beds, pots and young trees. Through a dry spell the stored rain feeds the drip lines automatically, keeping the garden green without touching the mains supply.

  • Roof capture sized from your actual rainfall and footprint
  • First-flush and mesh filtration before storage
  • Overflow routed safely to the existing drain

Three disciplines

Everything a thriving garden needs to drink

We bring watering, storage and tree health together so the three work as one system rather than three chores.

Automatic drip

Timed drip irrigation

Low-pressure lines deliver water to each root zone on a schedule. Best for busy owners and plots that dry out fast in summer.

Harvest and storage

Tanks and diverters that fit tight urban corners. Best where water bills are high or a dependable store matters in dry weeks.

From survey to season

How a project runs, step by step

Each stage is booked in advance and signed off before the next begins, so you always know what is happening in your garden.

  1. 01

    Site survey & water audit

We walk the garden, measure the roof catchment and note how much you currently water. You get a clear picture of what the garden needs and wastes.

  2. 02

    Tank & drip layout design

We draw up the tank position, pipe runs and emitter zones. The plan balances storage, pressure and planting so every bed is reached.

  3. 03

    Installation & planting

We set the tank, lay the lines and connect the controller, then help place any new trees or shrubs where the water and sun suit them.

  4. 04

    Seasonal tuning

We revisit as the weather turns, adjusting run times and pruning the trees so the system matches each season rather than running blind.

The grower's year

A calendar that ties water to the tree

Fruit trees ask for different care — and different amounts of water — in each part of the year. We keep the two in step.

Winter
Structural pruning and a light drip, while the tree is dormant and barely drinking.
Spring
Feeding and rising watering as buds break and fresh growth demands more.
Summer
Full drip schedule and pest watching through the heat of fruit swell.
Autumn
Harvest, then watering tapered back as the tree prepares to rest.

Why it pays off

What you save by leaving the hose behind

Timed drip and stored rainwater beat hand watering on nearly every count — and the gains are easy to put a number on.

  • Drip delivers water to the root, so far less is lost to evaporation and runoff.
  • A steady schedule avoids the flood-then-drought cycle that stresses roots.
  • Stored rain carries the garden through dry weeks with no mains cost at all.
  • Water only when needed, with rain-skip sensors pausing after real rainfall.
  • Hours of hand watering handed back to you every week through the summer.
  • Healthier trees and heavier crops when water arrives evenly and on time.

From a Shibuya garden

“Our old plum tree had always struggled. One season after the rainwater tank and drip went in, it was heavy with fruit — and our summer water bill dropped by nearly half. I no longer stand out there with a hose at dusk.”

Mrs. Arai Courtyard garden owner, Shibuya

Good to know

Questions people ask before they start

If yours is not here, raise it at your water audit and we will answer in plain terms.

Yes. Collecting roof rainwater for garden use is permitted, and the city actively encourages it. We keep the system separate from your drinking supply and route overflow to the existing drain so nothing breaches local rules.

We drain the exposed lines before the first hard frost and set the controller to a dormant schedule. The tank keeps a small reserve for mild spells. It all comes back online at the spring tuning visit.

Slim tanks slot against a wall, under a deck or beside a downpipe in corners most gardens never use. We choose the form and capacity at the survey so it disappears into the garden rather than dominating it.

Drip systems ask for a filter rinse a few times a season and a quick emitter check. Tanks need the first-flush cleared after heavy rain. On the annual care plan we handle all of it during the seasonal visits.
